Our Story

TRIBVTO is an acoustic style portuguese music band of the folk/indie genre, born in February 2017 in Bishop's Stortford, a town in the East of England, with 5 portuguese residents in the UK. You can see more info on the members in the menu "Who Are We".

The group forms in a community with a strong portuguese presence, by chance of events, and the common love they had to play and share portuguese music.

Initially they assumed themselves as a tribute group to portuguese music and culture, presenting and interpreting with their own sounds some of the most well known songs of the portuguese repertoire, with an objective to spread its peoples's culture throughout the local community. Their first live  performance occurred within the festivities of the town's most important celebration, and from there on they managed to deliver an ascending course of performances/projects, that was supported by the public opinion, which provided the momentum for the trail that unfolded before them. This trail led them to more live performances, not only in England, but also in Wales, and not only in english speaking events, but also in those aimed for the portuguese community in UK.

From the musical cumplicity between its members also emerges the need to create something new, on which sets the core for a growningly appealing task - the creation of original songs.

In March 2019 they launched their debut album of original songs which identify each ones identity within the message, speaking tales of longing, of family, of love, of trails, madness and indecisions that are part of each one's path.
